Our Site: Kimberton Village, PA.

  • We are looking at 8+ acres in the Village of Kimberton.

  • Kimberton is one of six villages designated by the Phoenixville Regional Master Plan for business development.

  • Toward that end, the Town has changed its zoning to allow mixed use and more dense development.

  • We are currently seeking a developer.

  • There is an active business association in the village, and also an initiative to improve the main block with landscaping improvements which will help slow down traffic.

Costs

    • We are actively seeking investors for Cohousing, which may include elder housing, and businesses.

    • We estimate the cost of a home to be approximately $200 per square foot plus a percentage of the Community Building, or approximately $225,000 for a 2 bedroom.

    The Process

    • We are going to have to acquire an easement to Prizer or Kimberton Roads to complete the land acquisition.

    • A participatory community site design session will follow.

    • As we seek approvals, we will continue with the Community Building design.

    • We put together our documentation and seek financing.

    • Ground-breaking should start two to three years after we acquire the land and an easement.
